Did you know, there are 3 types of perfectionism?
The first is socially, prescribed, perfectionism, that's when we internalize the expectations of others and try to live up to their perceived standards.
The second is other oriented perfectionism. That's when a person applies there, perfectionistic standards to other people and then becomes critical when they don't live up to their expectations.
And the third is self-oriented perfectionism. That's when we have high standards for ourselves when we're working on something because we want to do a good job.
No perfectionism is good for us because often it makes us delay getting something out the door. But there are three different ways that we can express perfectionism that it's good to be aware of.
